Coating and finishing of printed material have seen many improvements in the past 25 years. We are now seeing a similar trend in digital printing as has already happened in conventional printing. Compared to conventional printing the application and challenges are more complex due to the different processes in digital printing.
The Gepa FM52 sheetfed coating machine is an offline coater equipped with both ID and UV drying systems, so is flexible to apply both aqueous and UV coatings. With a maximum coating width of 520mm it can flood coat a B2 format sheet in the portrait direction. The coater is supplied with a fully integrated automatic sheet feeder and fixed delivery tray. An automated stacker or jogging table are available as options.
